May 25th Late Slate "DFS Edition"

Today marks a revolutionary day for "The Infirmary Report" as we are adding a Daily Fantasy Sports side to our already great product. We will be doing a daily article on the slate of games with Vegas Odds, projections, players to target, and ect to help you build your bankroll. This is going to be a really detailed informative daily article.

First things first, today Victiv is running an amazing tournament with an Apple Watch give a way. The winner receives $500 cash plus an Apple Watch, for a buy in of $25. Victiv is running a lot of exclusive offers right now you should be taking advantage of.

Now lets take a look over the slate for the night cap. Note the 4:05 games are included on the Victiv Slate.

4:05pm Detroit at Oakland(-113) —- T:7.5
4:10pm Texas at Cleveland(-134) —- T:9.0
4:15pm Arizona at St. Louis(-157) —- T:7.5
7:05pm Miami at Pittsburgh(-138) —- T:7.5
7:07pm Chi White Sox at Toronto(-151) —- T:9.0
7:10pm Seattle at Tampa Bay(-144) —- T:7.0
8:10pm Atlanta at LA Dodgers(-188) —- T:7.5
9:05pm San Diego at LA Angels(-136) —- T:7.5

First glance I like to take a look at the over under line, example today I am going to target bats in the Texas Rangers vs Cleveland Indians game as well as the Chicago White Sox vs Toronto Blue Jays. Once you know what teams you want to target or stack you need to do the opposite to find the pitchers you want to get exposure too. Personally for me the pitchers can be looked at in multiple ways but I always like to take a guy with high strike out upside especially for taking down a GPP. I think this slate offers some really solid pitching match ups. I really like Tyson Ross for the Padres going against Jered Weaver of the Angels as well as Roenis Elias and the Mariners going against, Jake Odorizzi and the Tampa Bay Rays.

With that brief breakdown lets take a look at the guys I am going to get some exposure to this evening for cash games and GPP tournaments.

Pitchers - I dont think you can go wrong with any of the four I listed above in cash games but a guy worth a GPP dice roll would be Brett Anderson he carries a 3.61 E.R.A and 31 strikeouts on the year but going up against Atlanta a team that can struggle to score runs and I think Anderson will be in line for a win tonight on the mound. Charlie Morton is also interesting making his first appearance of the year for the Pirates a team that has finally been scoring runs over the weekend, I think Morton will pick up a win against the Marlins.

Catchers - For cash games I really like Russell Martin he should anchor the Blue Jays lineup and be in a spot to rack up some RBI's. A GPP guy to look at, A.J Ellis who should be back in the lineup tonight filling in for Yasmani Grandal who is working his way back from a concussion.

1st Basemen - You cant go wrong with Edwin Encarnacion in cash he is always a solid player to roster. In a GPP I am going to get some exposure to Pedro Alvarez facing a righty tonight.

2nd Basemen - I really like Justin Turner tonight in cash games if he is back in the lineup for the Dodgers plus I think he is overdue for a homer tonight. In a GPP I think Martin Prado has the upside to have a good night if Morton struggles to find his groove early.

3rd Basemen - In cash I am going to have a lot of Josh Donaldson always a threat to go yard he also makes for a good GPP play. If you need salary relief I like Kyle Seager coming off a great series against Toronto.

Shortstop - Jung Ho Kang has been swinging a really good bat for the Pirates and should be considered in all formats tonight. I also like Alexi Ramirez who collected five hits over the weekend.

Outfielders - Andrew McCutchen has came to life with three homers in his last four games, I am going to continue riding the hot bat in cash games. Seth Smith is a guy to target in a GPP he will be low owned and really affordable if you are trying to sneak in another power bat into your lineups.
