May 28th MLB DFS Picks

Today offers a weird start time for the main slate across the industry, a great night for you night owls out there. Also before we get into breaking down this slate, if you haven't tried Victiv I highly recommend you give it a try. The tournament fields are smaller which helps cashing in my opinion, you wont be competing against 15,000 people in a daily field. I have no problem with large field tournaments, but I like to try and offer everyone a competitive advantage.

Now lets dive into this slate.

 10:05pm Detroit at LA Angels(-138) —- T:7.5
10:05pm NY Yankees(-114) at Oakland —- T:8.0
10:10pm Pittsburgh(-115) at San Diego —— T:6.5
10:10pm Cleveland(-124) at Seattle —- T:6.5
10:15pm Atlanta at San Francisco(-136) —- T:6.5

Pitching- Options might be a little bit of a dart throw tonight, Corey Kluber will probably be the highest owned pitcher across the industry tonight. Kluber has been dominate over his last three outings racking up 37 strikeouts. However, after Kluber, who do you look for if you need salary relief or want to go against the grain a little bit? I don't think I can stomach to roster C.C Sabathia facing the Athletics, however Sabathia may be better than many other options tonight. A.J Burnett is intriguing and the Buccos are hot, will it continue on the west coast-I have no idea but Burnett has gone at least 7 innings in his last three starts picking up 22 strikeouts along the way. Shelby Miller is my pivot of the night, he has been dominate all season, not really a strike out pitcher but has potential to go deep into any game and I like him facing the Giants tonight.

Catcher -  I talked about Brian McCann yesterday and he hit a dinger, so I am going back to well with McCann. Other considerations for GPP-I think Chris Iannetta if in the lineup makes a good play tonight or Derek Norris who has four hits in the last two games.

1st Base - Miguel Cabrera is going to be the top cash play of the night and rightfully so, Cabrera is always a threat to go off. Mark Teixeira makes for a nice pivot off Cabrera for a GPP play as well as Pedro Alvarez facing right hand pitcher Ian Kennedy.

2nd Base - Jason Kipnis has been tearing the cover off the ball his past two games and makes a good play in cash and a GPP. Ian Kinsler has been struggling over the last 8 games, Kinsler could make for a great secondary option tonight only in a GPP, I won't touch him in my cash games. Jace Peterson will find his way into a lot of my GPP action tonight, Peterson is cheap and should find his way on base a lot tonight.

3rd Base - Josh Harrison will be my top play tonight, Harrison has been on a tear lately for the Pirates. Additionally, David Freese will be a GPP play tonight.  Freese went 2-4 last night with a run scored for the Angels. I also like Marcus Semien tonight in the Athletics lineup.  He has good pop and hasn't hit a homer since May 12th he is due tonight.

Shortstop - Erick Aybar will be widely owned in all formats tonight and has been getting on base a lot since he was moved into the lead off slot for the Angels. If Jung Ho Kang is in the lineup for the Pirates, play the man, all he does is get hits just look at his game logs.

Outfield - All over Mike Trout tonight, I am looking at Trout tonight as a double homer threat for the Angels. If you want to go across the grain I don't mind taking Nelson Cruz in a GPP tournament. Michael Brantley has hits in 3 of his last 4 games and another guy who hasn't hit a home run in a long time, if you're into guys who are overdue, roster Brantley here. Another guy I like to target when facing a right hand pitcher is Gregory Polanco he has struggled some this year but a guy I don't mind at all in a GPP.

As always, enjoy your day, good luck with your lineups tonight, and feel free to shoot any questions at our Twitter @InfirmaryReport
