June 1st MLB DFS Picks

Hello June, its great to see you again, and we thank you for giving us loaded pitching options today. Seriously I could use a roulette wheel or a dart board for my starting pitching today and feel comfortable with it. I think you can realistically make a case for eight pitchers tonight so this might be a little bit of a crap shoot on the mound but that is what makes DFS great. Lets take a look at the Vegas Odds for the evening.

7:05 PM EST : Toronto ( +138 ) at Washington ( -150 ) —- T: 8.0
7:10 PM EST : Minnesota ( +156 ) at Boston ( -170 ) —- T: 8.5
7:10 PM EST : Chi Cubs ( -131 ) at Miami ( +121 ) —- T: 7.5
8:10 PM EST : Baltimore ( -101 ) at Houston ( -107 ) —- T: 8.5
8:10 PM EST : Milwaukee ( +146 ) at St. Louis ( -158 ) —- T: 7.5
8:40 PM EST : LA Dodgers ( -210 ) at Colorado ( +192 ) —- T: 9.0
9:40 PM EST : Atlanta ( +102 ) at Arizona ( -110 ) —- T: 8.0
10:05 PM EST : Tampa Bay ( +147 ) at LA Angels ( -160 ) —- T: 7.0
10:10 PM EST : NY Yankees ( +137 ) at Seattle ( -149 ) —- T: 6.0
10:10 PM EST : NY Mets ( +104 ) at San Diego ( -112 ) —- T: 6.5
10:15 PM EST : Pittsburgh ( -130 ) at SF Giants ( +120 ) —- T: 6.5

Pitchers - As I said I can make a case for eight guys in cash games, so I want to take a look at a couple GPP targets some people might be off of tonight. Andrew Cashner, a lot of people will see this match up tonight and go for Jacob deGrom which I don't mind but in a GPP setting I want exposure to Cashner tonight. Alex Wood facing the Diamondbacks looks to be in a good spot and a good bit cheaper than the top options across the industry.
*Note Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers are only $15,000 on Victiv tonight, which is a steal I don't care about the Coors effect when Kershaw is dealing.*

Catchers - Francisco Cervelli of the Pirates has been hitting the ball well lately and is going to be relatively affordable across the industry tonight. If you like to punt the catcher position like I usually do, I think I am going to go into the Kevin Plawecki fan club facing Cashner this evening.

1st Base - Chris Davis of the Orioles is going to be one of my top plays of the night. Davis has four homers in his last six games and in a really good spot tonight. Free money Freddie Freeman as he is known is another guy I like in a GPP setting, Freeman has two homers in his last three games.

2nd Base - Justin Turner and Howie Kendrick both available on DraftKings at second base, make for a fine play in cash or GPP tonight. Neil Walker has been hitting the ball, has hits in six of his last seven games and makes for a good play as well.

3rd Base - You may have to do a little digging at this position tonight if you cant afford Kris Byrant or Josh Donaldson into your lineups. Evan Longoria looks pretty cheap tonight at $3,700 on Draftkings and someone I want in some GPP lineups. Aramis Ramirez makes for a sneaky play but only in a GPP not a guy I want to roster in a cash game.

Shortstop - Erick Aybar has hits in eight of his last ten games and looks to be a fine cash game play this evening. J.J Hardy is a GPP play only tonight for the Orioles. I also want some exposure to Andrelton Simmons who is on a nine game hitting streak.

Outfield - Joc Pederson of the Dodgers will be one of my top outfield choices, Pederson has hits in five of his last six and in a good environment tonight. Andrew McCutchen is getting hot, Cutch has 18 hits and 3 homers since May 20th. I like Jorge Soler of the Cubs in a GPP tonght as well as Kole Calhoun of the Angels.

-This will wrap up my piece for today, as always enjoy your day and good luck with your lineups tonight!
