Week 6 NFL Injury Report and Waiver Wire Targets

This week in the NFL we saw some major injuries occur, but none worse than the injury to Jamaal Charles.  Anyone who was watching the game and saw him go down without much contact knows that those types of injuries have a likelihood to be very serious.  Unfortunately that appears to be the case for Charles.

Let's take a look at the injuries relevant to Week 6 and the rest of the season.
Jamaal Charles, RB, Kansas City - Tests have confirmed that Charles tore his right ACL on Sunday, ending his season.  It is a terrible blow for the player, his team, and fantasy owners.  No one behind Charles on the depth chart can totally replace him, but the team figures to split time between Charcandrick West and Knile Davis.  For my money West would be the top add of the two.
Odell Beckham, WR, NY Giants - Beckham left Sunday night's game with a hamstring issue but then returned for the final drive.  We will have to see if there are any developments early this week, but if he could come back into the game Sunday that is a good indication that he'll be ready for Week 6, especially since the Giants don't play until Monday night.
TJ Yeldon, RB, Jacksonville - Yeldon left Sunday's game with a groin injury and did not return.  We have not heard anything else at this point, but it would be a tough loss for the Jags as he is their every-down RB.
Justin Forsett, RB, Baltimore - Forsett missed overtime on Sunday due to an ankle injury.  We will wait for any updates from the Ravens as to his status for Week 6.
Sammy Watkins, WR, Buffalo - Watkins was ruled out for Week 5, but he was very active in practices and workouts.  He will likely be ready for Week 6.
LeSean McCoy, RB, Buffalo - A hamstring injury continues to keep McCoy on the sidelines, and it looks like he will miss Week 6 as well.  There is a possibility that Karlos Williams will miss next week as well.  Boobie Dixon and Boom Herron would handle the majority of work at RB, so it's ugly at RB for the Bills right now.
Alshon Jeffery, WR, Chicago - Well, we thought that Jeffery would be back on the field this week, but he was inactive again with his hamstring and calf injuries.  We will wait to see if he is healthy enough to play for Week 6.
Davante Adams, WR, Green Bay - Adams was inactive for Week 5 against St. Louis.  His status for Week 6 looks questionable with his ankle injury, leaving Ty Montgomery to possibly serve as the Packers' WR3 for another week.
Andrew Luck, QB, Indianapolis - All updates are indicating that Luck will return for Week 6 against the Patriots.
Reuben Randle, WR, NY Giants - Randle exited Sunday night's game with a hamstring injury and did not return.  He has to be considered questionable at best for Week 6.  Depending on OBJ's status, the Giants could be starting Dwayne Harris and Myles White at WR.  Ouch.
Martavis Bryant, WR, Pittsburgh - Bryant injured his knee in his first practice back from a four-game suspension.  He didn't play on Monday night and will be questionable for Week 6.

Marshawn Lynch, RB, Seattle - Lynch did not play in Week 5 due to a hamstring injury.  The coaching staff feels confident that he will return to practice this week, so hopefully we will see him suit up for Week 6.

Blake Bortles, QB, Jacksonville - Bortles sustained a sprained AC joint in his shoulder during Sunday's game.  He continued to play and posted an incredible line of 303 passing yards and 4 TD's.  If Bortles can't go Sunday, Chad Henne would be his backup.

Steve Smith Sr., WR, Baltimore - Smith missed Week 5 with a back injury, and the team is hoping that he will be ready for Week 6.  We will have to stay tuned to practice updates later this week for Smith's status.
