Week 13 NFL Injury Report and Waiver Wire Targets

We've come to Week 13 and for a lot of you it means the last regular season matchup for fantasy football.  Hopefully you're in good shape to make the playoffs......but if you need a win this week, an injury replacement for your bench, or a waiver wire add for the playoffs, look no further.  Let's get into the injury rundown in the NFL and check out some nice waiver wire options.

Rob Gronkowski, TE, New England - Gronk owners watching the Pats game last night probably had fits watching him get carted off the field after what looked like a potentially serious knee injury.  Reports at this time are that the injury is not as severe as it could have been and Gronk was very mobile after the game.  He has to be considered doubtful for Week 13, however, as the Pats face the Eagles and he may not be needed for them to get the win.
Update:  Reports indicate that Gronkowski is expected to miss "multiple weeks".  He will not play next Sunday against the Eagles and his availability will be considered week to week after that point.

Jimmy Graham, TE, Seattle - Graham, unfortunately, was not as lucky as Gronk.  The Seattle TE tore his patellar tendon - a devastating injury for any football player.  He is considered questionable for the 2016 season.  This is the same injury that Victor Cruz suffered, and he still hasn't recovered from the damage.

Tony Romo, QB, Dallas - Romo fractured his collarbone during the Thanksgiving game against Carolina and the team has placed him on IR, ending his season.  What a dreadful year for the Cowboys in terms of injuries, and for Romo especially.

Chris Johnson, RB, Arizona - Johnson left the third quarter of Sunday's game and did not return.  He reportedly took a helmet blow to his knee.  There is no diagnosis yet that we know of, but until we hear anything Johnson should be considered day to day at best.  There is a real possibility that he will miss Week 13.
Update:  Johnson reportedly has a fractured tibia and will miss an "extended period of time".  Johnson will most likely be out the remainder of the fantasy season.

Andre Ellington, RB, Arizona - Ellington suffered a toe injury on the very next drive after Chris Johnson left the field.  He also did not return and should be considered questionable for Week 13 until we hear the results of his MRI.

Devonta Freeman, RB, Atlanta - Freeman was inactive in Week 12 due to a concussion.  Reports from the team are that he should be good to go for Week 13.

Martellus Bennett, TE, Chicago - Bennett missed the Thanksgiving Day matchup against the Packers due to a rib injury.  The team is hoping that the extra rest days this past week will help him get ready for Week 13.  Stay tuned for any news heading into the team's practices.

Tyler Eifert, TE, Cincinnati - Eifert suffered a "stinger" during Week 12's game against St. Louis.  He told reporters that he was OK after the game, but just check for any updates from the Bengals during this week's practices.

Ahmad Bradshaw, RB, Indianapolis - If you're like me, you had rostered Bradshaw on the hopes that he would become a late-season contributor as Frank Gore wore down from a huge RB workload.  Bradshaw suffered a wrist injury during Sunday's game and the Colts have placed him on IR, ending his season.  Dan Herron would fill in for Bradshaw behind Gore unless the team makes any additional moves.

Allen Hurns, WR, Jacksonville - Hurns suffered a concussion during Sunday's game and left on a stretcher.  He was released from the hospital and will enter the league's concussion protocol.  He is extremely doubtful for Week 13.

Charcandrick West, RB, Kansas City - West was inactive on Sunday with a hamstring injury.  We do not have any information regarding his Week 13 availability yet, so we will have to watch for news out of Kansas City.

Danny Amendola, WR, New England - Amendola did not travel with the Patriots to Denver as he was recuperating from a knee injury.  The team is reporting that his rehab is going well and they expect him to be ready for Week 13.

Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh - It appeared that Roethlisberger may have suffered a concussion during Week 12's game against Seattle when he took himself out of the game for evaluation.  All reports at this time state that he will be cleared to play in Week 13 and did not show signs of a concussion after the game.
